Managing Accounts

Using the Accounts section in the Fynd Partner Panel, you can request access to the Fynd Platform accounts of your clients (live accounts) and/or create a development client.

The Fynd Partner Panel has two types of accounts: Development and Live.

  • Development accounts let you test your extensions and themes before deploying them to a client's store or submitting them for publishing on the extension or theme marketplace.
  • Live accounts allow you to request access to your client's Fynd Platform account to provide customized services.

You can access these accounts through the Accounts section in the Fynd Partner Panel.

Creating and managing development accounts

You can follow the procedures listed below to create a developer account.

  1. Click Accounts.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Select Development Account from the options presented.

  1. Fill in the following details:

    • Business Name
    • Business Email
    • Country
    • State / Province
    • PINCode / ZIPCode
    • Business Address
    • Document Type (choose from PAN CARD or GST)
    • Name of the Document Holder (as per PAN Card or GST)
    • PAN Card / GST Number
    • Preferred Sales Channels (choose your website)
    • Preferred Domain Name
  2. Click Save.

Development Accounts are for testing extensions and themes before deployment to a client's store or submitting for publishing on an extension or theme marketplace.

Requesting access to a live account of client

You can follow the instructions below to request access to a client's live account:

  1. Click Accounts.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Choose Live (Managed Account).

  1. Enter the client's company ID.

Sellers can find their company ID from the url of their Fynd Platform panel.

  1. Select the role you want: full access or custom access to specific pages.
    1. Custom Access: The Select Role is configured to this by default. You may select one or more screens whose access you want.
    2. Full Access: By choosing this option, you can request complete access of the live account.
  2. Choose a sales channel permission: admin, public, marketing manager, or custom.
    1. Admin: With this permission, user can have access to all the pages.
    2. Public: With Public permission, user can enter the account but won’t able to make changes or contribute in managing the account.
    3. Marketing Manager: With this permission, user can have permission to access following screens of the accounts.
      1. Communication: With this page, the user can develop communication templates and campaigns for email and SMS interactions with customers.
      2. Appearance: One can inspect and control the application's themes and navigations using this page.
      3. Analytics: Users have the opportunity to download the graphs and data and gain real-time insight into the product lifecycle.
      4. Marketing: The user is allowed to create collections, coupons, prizes, etc. for marketing campaigns with this page.
    4. Custom: You can request access to one or more specific pages with the custom permissions.
  3. Add a comment for the seller, if desired.
  4. Click Save to submit the request.
